Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition
The M.C.C. is a non-profit organization committed to helping people with long term mental health issues in Massachusetts find and secure employment, housing, and education, mental health services and other services and support in the community. The MCC works to strengthen and improve clubhouses while acting as an information clearinghouse and co-ordinating body enabling the clubhouse community to work together to improve the quality of and access to community supports. MA Department of Developmental Services
This site offers basic information about the Department of Mental Developmental Services and the support services this agency offers. DDS creates a wide array of supports, housing options, training and other support services that are custom-fit to a person's needs and desires. They support people in defining their own needs and preferences in many areas including daily life, personal goals, home, work, leisure and life-style. DDS is committed to creating opportunities for people to become fully integrated in their communities. It promotes individual decision-making, encourages family involvement, and emphasizes consumer and family participation.
Statewide Head Injury Program (SHIP)
The Statewide Head Injury Program (SHIP) is part of the Community Services Program of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. SHIP is the public program in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that identifies, cultivates and develops resources and services for Massachusetts residents who have sustained an externally caused traumatic brain injury.
MA Department of Mental Health
The Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) sets the standards for the operation of mental health facilities and community residential programs and provides clinical, rehabilitative and supportive services for adults with serious mental illness, and children and adolescents with serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. M-POWER
M-POWER is a member run organization of mental health consumers and current and former psychiatric patients. They advocate for political and social change within the mental health system, the community, city, and statewide. They stand against stigma, bigotry,and discrimination,believing all people are entitled to lives free of prejudice and oppression.
Metro Boston Behavioral Health Resource Center
The Boston Resource Center provides information, support and peer to peer referral services to individuals with various forms of mental illness and their families.
DBSA of Boston (Affective Disorders)
This Nonprofit, self-help organization run by and for people with affective disorders. Includes support group listings, event calendar, and a bookstore.
MA Clubhouse housing support.
This program provides clubhouse members with individual support services including: roommate/neighbor mediation; outreach; landlord/housing authority negotiation; assistance with subsidy applications, apartment search, assistance with moving or cleaning/maintaining apartments; helping with budgets. The Clubhouse Housing Support programs operate in accordance with the DMH Clubhouse Housing Support Program Standards.
